Brief description
The main components of heavy benzene are benzene, toluene, xylene, and trimethylbenzene (referred to as "light aromatic hydrocarbons"), naphthalene, methylnaphthalene, indene, gumarone, etc., and small amounts of styrene and phenols. Among them, naphthalene, methyl naphthalene, indene, gumarone, etc. have high added value, so it is necessary to extract them. However, due to the complex composition of heavy benzene, there are few ways to process it, mainly and mostly at a relatively low processing level, with low resource utilization efficiency and little value-added products, so further research is needed. In terms of application, heavy benzene can be used to formulate paints, inks, adhesives, etc. It can also replace toluene and xylene to make banana water and tianna water, etc.
Heavy benzene is not benzene, it is just a mixture and is toxic.
